The staff were friendly and helpful. We had to change our booking on arrival as we had booked a single instead of a double by mistake, but that was quickly resolved without any fuss. The hotel is situated in the centre of town, close to several restaurants and tapas bars. It was easy to find, and we could offload our luggage from the car outside the hotel. There is an underground car park about 5 minutes walk away. The bar/breakfast room/lobby area on the ground floor is attractive with a definite Morroccan influence. It was nice to sit and have a coffee or glass of red wine there after an evening out. The continental breakfast was good, and the coffee was excellent.

The location of the hotel is perfect. The staff were very nice and the decor was very north African. Although the room we had was a little small, the room was very cosy. In the morning the breakfast was buffet was excellent with a selection of cold meats, pastries, cerals etc. Perfect......

The only small problem is that all the rooms on each floor are organised around a central open area and as such you can hear a little noise from other guests who enter the hotel at night. Other than that the hotel is great.

We stayed in the suite - amazing room with loads of space, balcony, Balinese- inspired decor and huge bathroom - would definitely recommend.

Location excellent and good breakfast. Comfortable room. Decor very pleasant. Free internet in lobby.having a fridge in the room and airconditioning. Friendly staff

There was no room directory so we did not know how to work the shower or the tv. Both were new systems to us. We felt it was expensive for its classification and facilities but on the other hand we do not know how it compares in cadiz with similar hotels.

The breakfast choice was extensive and varied with a fresh brewed mug of coffee. The location was excellent for being near to the port side of the town and the main shopping streets. Nearby restaurants ShowdeTapas was excellent, and there is a small sherry bar (La Manzanilla??) nearby also for pre-dinner drinks.

The room was a little awkward size wise with no obvious place to put your luggage and a chair in front of the wardrobe meant leaving cases on the floor and just grabbing stuff as and when needed. Only issue really, the room didnt seem that small on first glance just didnt work space wise.

The hotel was full of character, spotlessly clean & the staff were extremely friendly. Breakfast (included in the price) was perfectly adequate to set you up for a day of sightseeing or lounging about on the beach.

The plumbing in the hotel was quite noisy & we were woken early on a couple of mornings when the occupants of the next door room used the shower.

The hotel has a nice central location in the heart of Cadiz! The atmosphere in the hotel and room is wonderful. It has its own style that is done to every small detail. Breakfast is included and can give you enough energy to last you through the day. For Cadiz is a small town you are in walking distance of everything, especially nice when you have had your dinner in town. When you have a rental car the beaches, and especially, the rocky coast is close as well and very nice day out!

The hotel had a lot of character and was very well maintained. We thought the location was great--just off the beaten path, but still in the heart of Cadiz. The suite is very spacious and beautifully decorated. It definitely provided a relaxed, vacation feel.

The only issues we had was on going construction next door and pulsating water temperatures in the bathroom (too hot, then too cold).

Good central location. very nice well run small hotel. Good buffet breakfast

trying to find it the first time was difficult. However all of central Cadiz will have the same problem

Location was good, hotel was in the center of the city.

Hotel staff was unkind, we stayed just for 1 night and we were a group of 7 persons and wanted a city map . They did not gave us just 1 map, because they told that the number of maps were limited(??)the rooms of 5 people were good enough, but the room that we stayed with my husband was terrible. It was at the 3rd (last) floor and I think it was added to building later. There was a bad toilet smell int the room and the room was very very small. By the way, even though the location seems good, it is too noisy that you woke up very very early in the morning. After we left the hotel,i received an email from the hotel staff. They were asking me about one of the rooms' key ? they were telling that, one of the keys' are lost and if we take them they wanted me to inform them. I think it was very unkind and unmeaningful , what can we do with their keys? To sum up, we stayed at Andulusia for 7 nights in 6 hotels. Hotel Argantonio was the single bad hotel experience hotel of us. The money that you gave doesn't worth it at all.

The staff was friendly and helpful in a number of ways. Breakfast was provided, with a variety of fruits and pastries, eggs, and meats. Coffee was freshly made to order.

This is a beautiful hotel in the historic centre with individually designed rooms around an interior courtyard.Excellent value & lovely staff.A nice little roof terrace also.Room 201 faces onto the small street & is bright & airy. There is a nice small spanish bar directly across where the friendly owner makes great toasted sandwiches on thick bread with carved ham.I would recommend this hotel & area very much.

Beautifully decorated, good location, good breakfast.Parking nearby.

A bit noisy at night as window opened up onto lightwell with drainpipes which were noisy as water rushed down.

  • Older travelers

Very pleasant atmosphere, kind staff. Excellent location.

In TV only a couple of channels, poor quality of picture. Safety box out of order and it was not repaired though the staff of the reception promised.
